JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation, sandwich making and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for the customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a shop or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition.
  • A willingness to learn and help others within the team.
  • Familiarity with upselling techniques is a plus.

    Hours would be between 7.30AM and 4.30PM Monday to Saturday. Saturday shift would be required.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
  • Assist in food preparation, the cooming of breakfast items and ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and kitchen.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with bakery and butchery staff to ensure timely service of food items.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed promptly during busy periods.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
