    Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Counter Sales Supervisor, you will lead the sales support efforts for walk-in customers at our Profit Centre counters, ensuring the highest level of customer service. Your role will involve overseeing the maintenance, stocking, and cleanliness of the counter sales area. Additionally, you will coordinate customer support activities, including answering inquiries, processing orders, and managing backorders, while supporting the Inside and Outside Sales teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre
  • Ability to use the Internet as a resource to problem solve and find alternative solutions for customers
  • Experience using Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Salary Range - $52,500-$60,000

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service or counter sales
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate math skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team settin
Responsibilities

Customer Engagement: Supervise and assist customers at the Profit Centre counters, ensuring a seamless purchasing experience.
Product Expertise: Research and recommend products to customers, leveraging our diverse product assortment to meet their needs.
Sales Growth: Enhance sales growth by managing counter merchandising, promoting products, and generating leads in collaboration with the Outside Account Manager.
Order Fulfillment: Oversee the entry, picking, and packing of counter-generated sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Inventory Management: Maintain the counter area and merchandising displays while monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the buyer.
Backorder Coordination: Liaise with vendors to follow up on backorders, providing customers with precise delivery information.
Returns and Claims: Handle returns and warranty claims efficiently, completing all paperwork in compliance with company procedures.
Customer Satisfaction: Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints, implementing effective solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Team Collaboration: Provide essential support to Inside and Outside Sales functions, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Additional Duties: Execute any additional tasks as directed by the Profit Centre Manager to support overall operations.
This supervisory role requires a customer-focused approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales while maintaining operational excellence at the counter.
