Description:
In this role, you will work on-site at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren alongside government engineers and stakeholders to evaluate, integrate, and transition advanced C-UAS capabilities for shipboard and expeditionary use. This is an opportunity to directly contribute to the rapid fielding of mission-critical technologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred or eligible).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on defense or national security programs.
  • Direct experience with C-UAS, RF systems, radar, sensors, or electronic warfare technologies.
  • Familiarity with systems integration, verification/validation, and test execution in lab or operational environments.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical results effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly at or with NSWC Dahlgren or other Navy warfare centers.
  • Background in shipboard systems integration, Navy combat systems, or maritime ISR.
  • Familiarity with rapid acquisition frameworks (e.g., middle-tier acquisition, OTA, or prototype transitions).
  • Proficiency in data analysis or modeling tools such as MATLAB, Python, or COTS RF toolkits.

Responsibilities
  • Support the engineering, integration, and evaluation of counter-UAS technologies at the system and subsystem level.
  • Conduct interface analysis, system design reviews, and requirements verification for maritime C-UAS applications.
  • Assist with lab-based testing and shipboard integration of C-UAS prototypes and fielded systems at NSWC Dahlgren.
  • Collaborate with NSWCDD technical teams, government sponsors, and industry vendors to assess system readiness and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including test plans, integration checklists, and technical reports.
  • Participate in system trade studies, rapid prototyping, and technology transitions aligned with Navy acquisition pathways.
  • Ensure all systems meet applicable Navy cybersecurity, environmental, and shipboard certification standards.
