REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence: Must be accredited by RTITB or ITSAR and refreshed within the last two years.
  • Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment is essential.
  • Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting and moving heavy loads as required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to ensure orders are handled correctly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to work various shifts and respond to changing demands.
  • Transport: Ideally, possession of own transport due to location accessibility.
Responsibilities
  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift: Safely and efficiently operate the forklift to load and unload goods, ensuring the smooth movement of stock within the stores and yard.
  • General Yard Duties: Maintain a clean and organised yard, performing tasks that support the overall efficiency and safety of the operations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Handle goods with precision and care, preventing damages and ensuring accurate placement.
  • Assist Customers: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting them with their needs to enhance their experience.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service by understanding customer requirements and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Stock Organisation: Play a vital role in the organisation and management of stock, ensuring items are correctly stored and accessible.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff and customers.
    Monday to Friday: 14:00 - 22:00.
    Salary: £14 p/h - £30,000 P/A once permanent.
