JOB OVERVIEW

Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking to join a busy, smaller team where you are integral to the business and not just a “number”. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting shipping and receiving operations.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.
  • Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate inventory management and record keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
    Driving licence is also essential for this role, as during peak periods, you may also be required to contribute to the delivery processes!
    Working hours are between 6am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £13.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities

  • Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, including checking shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and enhance productivity within the warehouse environment.
