ING seeks an experienced Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Portfolio Risk Expert to take a senior role in the newly established CCR organization. Build on ING’s CCR capabilities to drive consolidation of risk management and oversight of the counterparty credit risk portfolio. Shape and drive strategies that safeguard the bank’s ability by managing complex counterparty credit risks across dynamic global markets.
The team
You will be part of a newly formed CCR Portfolio Risk Management organization that has been established to enhance portfolio risk management, controls and oversight. This senior role is responsible for shaping the strategic direction and design of CCR frameworks across the organization. By embedding deep regulatory and risk expertise within the Team, the role ensures that ING maintains a forward looking, compliant and resilient posture in response to evolving regulatory landscapes and market dynamics. The team plays a critical part in enabling ING’s sustainable growth by designing robust, scalable and future proof control frameworks that support innovation and business expansion without compromising risk standards.

In this role you will play a key part in ING’s CCR risk strategy, taking on responsibilities that will help drive success and shape ING’s risk culture.
Lead the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of ING’s CCR frameworks, policies and methodologies to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
Provide strategic direction and thought leadership on CCR, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk appetite and emerging regulatory requirements.
Oversee portfolio-level risk assessments and limit management to ensure effective monitoring of CCR exposures and excesses and violations across the organization.
Partner with senior management, business units and regulators to influence CCR strategy and provide insight on risk trends, stress testing and capital planning that need be reflected in guidelines and policies.
Drive initiatives to strengthen risk culture, governance and controls within the CCR function, ensuring consistency and robustness of risk reporting and business adherence to policies.
Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous growth.
Drive and design comprehensive and timely reporting of CCR metrics, exposures and framework enhancements to senior management, board committees and regulatory bodies.
Champion innovative risk management solutions, including analytics and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy of decision-making across the CCR function.
