Description:
King Retail Solutions, a leading designer and manufacturer of retail design and decor, is looking for a skilled Countertop Fabricator. This position works with acrylic solid surface and plastic laminate countertop materials and involves hands-on fabrication work in a production environment, with a focus on quality, precision, and meeting project timelines. The typical production schedule of a Countertop Fabricator is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm. Extended hours and Saturdays may be required during our busiest times.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & OTHER ABILITIES:

• Experience in countertop fabrication using acrylic solid surface and plastic laminate materials.
• Ability to lift and carry countertops and supplies up to 75 pounds.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for reading blueprints and organizing work assignments.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, cut sheets, and layout drawings.
• Experience using wood shop production tools and equipment.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Wood preparation and finishing (stain and lacquer).
• Edge banding machine setup and operation.
• Cutting, mitering, and creating custom wood frames and trim.
• Experience laying up general-purpose laminates
• Experience working with solid surface products such as Corian.
• Knowledge of acrylics, resins, and epoxy.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent; One or more years of work related experience in countertop fabrication.

• Fabricate a variety of acrylic solid surface and plastic laminate countertops and custom pieces from start to finish. Read and interpret shop drawings and be able to work from cut list
• Work closely with the project lead to achieve production goals and develop strategies to remain within the materials and labor costs quoted for the job.
• Maintain high standards of precision and quality throughout the fabrication process.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, templates, and cut lists accurately.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, power hand tools, and manual tools safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with project leads to meet production goals and stay within quoted material and labor costs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Assist with installation prep and packaging as needed.
• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
