Overview As Country Director you will build, scale, and lead the business, owning market development across the Data centre, Life Sciences and Hi-Tech sectors, revenue growth, client relationships, and team capability while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and operational excellence.You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering Linesight’s BUILD objectives, strengthening client partnerships, deepening service delivery capability, and building market presence. Acting as Linesight’s senior representative in country, you will ensure cultural, operational, and commercial excellence; oversee compliance and risk management; enhance external visibility; and align all activity with regional and global strategy. The Opportunity Key Responsibilities Business Growth & Market Leadership (Primary Focus) Define and execute a clear market entry and growth strategy for Data Centres, Life Sciences and Hi-Tech Industry and critical infrastructure within Germany Build a sustainable, high quality pipeline across key sectors . Identify and exploit whitespace opportunities, positioning Linesight to secure flagship projects, frameworks, and long term client relationships. Lead from the front in work winning, major bids, and commercial negotiations. Establish Linesight as a recognised market leader in the local market. Strengthen market presence, brand visibility, and thought leadership through targeted external engagement. Commercial & Financial Ownership Own and deliver against country revenue, margin, and growth targets. Drive predictable pipeline conversion and sustainable commercial performance. Lead or oversee contract negotiations with a focus on commercial protection and risk mitigation. Contribute to, and be accountable for, country budgets, forecasting, and headcount planning. Ensure accurate revenue recovery, financial reporting, and utilisation discipline. Use Salesforce, BNB, and other tools to manage pipeline, forecasting, and business fundamentals. Client Leadership & External Relationships Build and maintain senior level, trusted client relationships across the full project lifecycle. Act as the senior escalation point and trusted advisor to key clients and stakeholders. Embed Linesight strategically within client organisations to drive repeat work and long term partnerships. Represent the business externally through industry bodies, conferences, partnerships, and speaking engagements. Strengthen Linesight’s reputation for excellence, innovation, and reliability in {Country}. People Leadership & Team Development Build, lead, and scale high performing, multidisciplinary teams aligned to growth trajectory. Create an accountable, performance driven culture with clear career paths and progression. Attract, develop, and retain talent in competitive markets, partnering closely with HR and Talent Acquisition. Drive workforce planning, capacity forecasting, and succession planning. Champion DE&I, wellbeing, and a positive, inclusive culture. Develop future leaders to support sustained country and regional growth. Delivery Oversight & Operational Excellence Maintain senior oversight of delivery across all major programmes in {Country}. Ensure consistent excellence across: Cost management Project and programme management Risk and controls Procurement and commercial delivery Implement scalable delivery and governance structures that protect quality during rapid growth. Provide escalation support for key engagements, including start up, intervention, and close out phases. Promote a strong culture of Health & Safety, Quality, and Professional Standards. Country Operations, Governance & Compliance Act as the senior accountable leader for country level governance, compliance, and risk management. Ensure compliance with all local statutory, regulatory, employment law, H&S, data protection, and industry requirements. Oversee local audits, filings, reporting, and interactions with statutory authorities. Maintain country level legal, corporate, and operational documentation. Oversee business continuity planning and incident escalation aligned with global frameworks. Ensure office operations, facilities, IT, security, and infrastructure meet global standards and support growth. Strategic Alignment & Regional Collaboration Partner closely with the European Leadership Team and Executive Board. Align country growth plans with regional and global strategy, priorities, and investment decisions. Contribute strategic insights, market intelligence, and risk assessments to regional forums. Support global initiatives across innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, and standardisation. Share best practice and lessons learned across the wider business. Candidate Profile Proven track record of building and scaling a business unit, sector, region, or country operation. Strong experience in key sectors such as data centres and/or mission critical infrastructure.. Life Science and High Tech Industry Demonstrated success in winning work, growing revenue, and leading major client relationships. Senior leadership experience with commercial and financial accountability (including P&L ownership or equivalent). Strong industry network across developers, hyperscalers, contractors, and key stakeholders. Proven ability to hire, lead, and develop high performing teams. Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to create structure without stifling growth. Balanced leadership style: commercially driven, people focused, and governance minded. Professional working proficiency in German, with fluency in English, is required for this role. Relevant formal qualification required, Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or similar. Chartered status (e.g. RICS, CIOB, RIBA, PMI) preferred.
