COUNTRY HEAD OF LEGAL - VERISURE NORWAY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced lawyer to join our management in Norway to report directly to the Managing Director and be an important and integral part of the Country Leadership team. In the role you will lead a team of 2 people and be part of the Nordic Cluster Legal team of 18 colleagues.
As Head of Legal you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth while aligning our operations with regulatory requirements and handling risk management. It is a broad leadership role covering the full spectrum of a fast growing, innovative and dynamic B-to-C product and services company.
This is also an opportunity to join a global team of over 100 lawyers and professionals working in legal, compliance, privacy, IP, AI and government and regulatory affairs team, across our geographies. We are well-integrated, working closely together to leverage each other’s experience, to develop best practices, and to deliver best-in-class legal partnership with all business units.

Responsibilities
Given the central role of the Legal department and the numerous legal areas our business touches, the role is an opportunity to drive business success by providing expert legal guidance and act as a strategic business partner to deliver pragmatic, commercial, and actionable legal solutions.

Experiences and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law or equivalent experience.
• Relevant legal experience in Norway, typically gained through a 5+ years of experience commercial law firm or in-house.
• Experience combining law firm and in-house experience is highly valued.
• Experience as a legal generalist providing comprehensive legal support in fast-paced, growing B2C environments.
• Strong understanding of legal issues in a B2C environment and ability to navigate complex legal challenges, balancing risk management with business agility in a fast-moving commercial setting.
• Strong legal drafting skills, recognized for clarity and precision.
• Hands-on mindset, with the ability to manage projects through to execution.
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, international environment.
