Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Country HR Manager to lead and shape the Human Resources function in Italy. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving and implementing HR strategies that align with our business goals, enhance employee engagement, and foster a high-performance culture. You will act as a trusted advisor to the management team and play a critical role in ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and talent development across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Industry experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in labor relations, including union negotiations and collective agreements, is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the country-level HR strategy, aligning priorities with global objectives and local business needs.
  • Adapt and implement global HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency, relevance, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on organizational design, talent management, labor law compliance, conflict resolution, and union relations.
  • Design and communicate the annual HR plan, outlining key initiatives, objectives, and metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional HR teams on recruitment, talent development, total rewards, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee the HR budget and introduce cost-effective solutions to maximize resource efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll administration, compensation analysis, and adherence to company pay structures and policies.
  • Lead performance management cycle, embedding a culture of continuous feedback and performance improvement.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives to address skill gaps and support career growth.
  • Implement employee engagement programs to cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
