SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience and relevant experience in social impact and translational activities. Desirability in MEL systems, participatory evaluation or impact reporting.
  • Experience coordinating international development or research programs in Southeast Asia, Oceania, or similar settings.
  • Experience in grant writing and donor engagement skills, with a track record of contributing to successful funding proposals.
  • Sectoral experience in climate adaptation, education, public health, livelihoods, or disaster preparedness.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the cultural and professional differences between universities, social enterprises and government, and an understanding of the value gained by these organisations engaging in collaborative activities.
  • Strong written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate complex information, and to develop and deliver external relations materials with successful results.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
