As Country Manager your focus will be on the overall, omnichannel, Commercial opportunities in your local market. While you identify opportunities and brings the power of local, you pair up with the central organization to maximize the strength behind your efforts, and to further build out opportunities that comes through inclusion and synergies.
Local Marketing will report into you, and while other teams are reporting in respective centralized streams globally (such as Retail and Customer Service), you will facilitate and role model collaboration and team spirit across the local teams, as well as for collaborations between the local commercial team and centralized, global, teams (such as Online, Strategy & Brand, etc).

Okay, let´s say that again- this role is a new one. While we recently installed the roles of Country Managers in our emerging markets earlier this year, we now will do this for our mature markets in the Nordics as well. As we grow our organization, market shares, and business presence, we are reshaping our ways of working, and believe in a model of centralized functions together with local organizations. Have we gotten the hang of it yet? Nope! Are we feeling some pain due to this? Yep! Are we learning, calibrating, and celebrating where we can? Absolutely!

Responsibilities
  • You have experience from the beauty industry and have established great relationships within it. While you know the ins and out of this industry, you are not determined to keep the status quo of it. Let´s change things up!
  • As a relationship builder, you easily identify relevant stakeholders on the partner and supplier side, and know how to get them engaged.
  • With a mind for numbers and strong business acumen, you enjoy diving deep into the numbers, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities.Revenue, sales margin, share of sales; you speak the language and loves to translate it into real business impact.
  • What does commercial strategies and plans look like in a beauty context? When the profit is lagging behind- who are the usual suspects, and how does one pinpoint the strongest category opportunities? You have delivered the answers for this in your earlier positions.
  • Solid understanding of how to build and develop a brand, and how to do it with a touch of crazy.
  • Great Omnichannel experience.
  • Experience from leading others. You know how to create engagement within a team, and you are a true coach as well as learner of your peers.
  • You have successfully used your skills in creative problem solving and am not afraid to approach a challenge you haven’t faced before. While you are at it, we hope you share your learnings with the rest of us!
  • As our voice in the local market, you need to be fully fluent in Finnish, and English
