ABOUT YOU

The Occupational Health Physician is expected to have the following qualifications:

  • Leadership Skills in your role as player/captain
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness
  • Adaptability to initiate action and effective global interfaces
  • Analytical Capabilities
  • BLS and good first aid skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer proficiency
  • BIG registered Physician in the Netherlands
  • Registered OH physician in the Netherlands (or close to becoming registered)
  • Relevant work experience in the petrochemical industry or similar as well as supervisor and/or managerial experience are an advantage
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Good in building and maintaining relationships

Responsibilities

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM?

As the Country Occupational Health manager your will develop and execute all Occupational Health programs to meet applicable labor & health regulatory requirements, to support the ExxonMobil Corporate Health Policy and to help keep our employees healthy and productive.
You will be based in Rotterdam within the Medical Department of the Rotterdam Manufacturing Complex (RMC) from ExxonMobil. From here support will also be given to the RMC as well as to our Pernis Lubes plant and the Rotterdam Oxo-Alcohol plant as well as our expats and employees working from home.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Country OH manager leads the in country MOH team and provides and organizes occupational health support for all ExxonMobil operations in the Netherlands. He/she reports functionally to the Global OH manager and works closely with business line management and the Human Resources department.

You will

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health regulations and policies
  • Prepare for and executing emergency medical response to injuries and incidents
  • Develop, implementing and executing fitness for work assessments, pre-placement exams, and health surveillance programs
  • Ensure clinical management of illnesses and injuries, with prompt adequate and appropriate care
  • Provide health advise to management and employees
  • Support site safety management system
  • Be an ambassador for our Culture of Health program
  • Provide travel health advice
  • Provide health advice in relation to Alcohol & Drug policy
  • Supervise a team of 2 nurses and 2 administrative staff members
