JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Couples and/or Family Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in helping couples and/or families strengthen communication, resolve conflict, and deepen connection. Our practice is located just steps from Lake Ontario, offering a calming and unique setting for in-person therapy.
This subcontracting role starts at 8–12 hours per week, with the potential to expand.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered and authorized to practice psychotherapy in Ontario (e.g., RSW, RP, Psychologist).
• Professional and commercial liability insurance.
• Specialized training and experience in couples and/or family therapy.
• Ability to hold a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space for multiple perspectives.
• Trauma-informed and holistic in approach.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.

• Conduct thorough assessments of couples and/or families.
• Develop and implement relational treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapy sessions using evidence-based modalities (e.g., EFT, Gottman, systemic approaches).
• Support clients in fostering healthier communication and stronger relationships.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.
• Collaborate within a supportive and collegial group practice.
