Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Health Record Supervisor is responsible for the distribution of mail to and from the clinics, securing bank deposits, proper handling of postage machine, transporting Patient Health information (PHI) and other various courier functions. Serves as a focal point for providing a professional and positive image to all UMC patients/clients and visitors regarding all areas of United Medical Centers services. Performs health record functions as required and customer service. Responsible for compliance with other requirements impacting United Medical Centers such as State/Federal regulations, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Optimizing Comprehensive Clinical Care (OC3), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Meaningful Use, Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Standards, and Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance (QI/QA) and Americans with Disabilities Acts (ADA) Requirements. UMC is an E.O.E. Requirements EDUCATION: Minimum High School or Equivalent with the ability to read and write and follow instructions. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: At least one year experience as a courier preferred.
