Description

Description Follows a rigid schedule in transporting documents, mail, supplies, packages, medications, and clinical specimens within , to and from satellite facilities, and to and from other entities in the area. Shift: M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Requirements High school diploma or G.E.D preferred. Must possess a valid N.C. driver’s license and have an acceptable prior driving record. Previous experience in a security/communications related environment or experience as a courier is preferred. Ability to frequently lift and carry mail and packages weighing up to 30 pounds. Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to work alone with a minimum of supervision. Ability to follow a rigid and “time-specific schedule. Ability to repeatedly get in and out of vehicles and walk up and down stairs with mail/packages. Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely at all times, including in congested traffic and under inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Transport documents, mail, supplies, and clinical specimens between satellite facilities and other entities. Adhere to a rigid, time-specific schedule to ensure timely delivery of materials.
