Description LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join our team as a Courier in Ocala, FL. This position is responsible for transporting blood and blood products to and from customers and other LifeSouth branches. This position is also responsible for preparing items for shipment, verifying, and keeping records on incoming and outgoing materials. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements - Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred - Must be able to work a varied schedule. Some night, weekend and on-call hours are required - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing - Must be able to do basic math, including addition, subtraction, proportion, percentages, etc. - Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 70 pounds, grasping and repetitive motion. This is a full-time position. Starting salary range is $14.00-$15.50 an hour Criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
