Description Delivers interoffice mail, computer and item processing outputs, and other similar items to branch offices of the Credit Union and other locations as directed. Job Duties: Deliver external and internal mail to branch offices and other locations as needed. Ensure all mail items receive careful handling. Ensure that member and Credit Union information is treated with the utmost confidentiality and security to support the Credit Union’s core purpose of being “our members’ trusted partner”. Maintain a safe driving record and see that preventive maintenance is performed on company vehicles. Prioritize requests appropriately and schedule trips in order to meet deadlines. Maintain positive relationships with staff and outside contacts. Pick up computer supplies from vendors, parcels from the post office, and supplies from Costco or other retail establishments as needed. Perform basic repairs/maintenance and move furniture/equipment when requested. Promote the service and sales culture by maintaining basic knowledge of products and services and referring members to the appropriate person/department. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Experience and Knowledge: Prior experience as a courier. Possesses a valid driver’s license and maintains an excellent driving record. Basic knowledge of Credit Union products and services, features, and benefits. Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills. Exhibits daily the Credit Union’s commitment to maintaining a close and caring touch with its members/employees. Able to gain the cooperation of others and work with internal/external contacts and all levels of staff and management appropriately. Communication: Demonstrates good communication skills. Other Skills: Very dependable. Possesses excellent attendance record. Able to drive under any weather condition. Able to read maps and find locations in various parts of the city and surrounding areas. Able to work under minimal supervision and make deliveries in a timely fashion in order to meet daily deadlines. Flexible regarding schedule; able to work after hours and/or during emergencies as needed.
Responsibilities
The courier is responsible for delivering interoffice mail and other items to branch offices and ensuring careful handling of all mail. They must maintain confidentiality and security of member information while also performing basic maintenance on company vehicles.
