POST-SECONDARY SUMMER STUDENT HR-SS-2026-17 Job Title: Course Attendant Date Posted: Friday, February 6, 2026 Department: Community Services Closing Date: 4pm, Friday, February 20, 2026 Location: Golf Course Reports To: Manager of Recreation Hourly Wage: $20.00 per hour with benefits as per the Employment Standards Act. Job Summary: This position will assist the Course Superintendent in maintaining the golf course grounds, including fairways, greens, tees, and rough areas. Will perform manual labourer duties which could include mowing, edging, and trimming of grass to maintain the desired course conditions; raking and maintaining sand bunkers; assisting with landscaping tasks; help to maintain the driving range and perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties in golf course public washrooms. This position will work up to 40 hours per week, the schedule will include days, evenings and weekends. Anticipated employment period from May to August 2026. Position Requirements: High School diploma Must be able to perform manual labour. Experience with mowing and trimming equipment. Be willing to work outdoors in all types of climate conditions. Must have CSA approved protective footwear with minimum 5 inches high cut CSA Grade 1 with sole puncture protection. Have a valid class “G” driver’s license. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and submit a criminal background check at their own expense prior to start date. This position is open to students who are presently attending school on a full-time basis and returning to a recognized post-secondary institution (full-time) in September 2026.
