Job Description

  • Permanent, Full Time

As the Course Coordinator for the Masters of Counselling, you will be at the forefront of course operations and management. This role involves creating and maintaining strong relationships with both staff and students, ensuring the consistent application of policies and procedures. Your leadership and communication skills will help foster an academic environment that promotes growth and excellence.

  • Develop and support new courses, and contribute to research initiatives.
  • Collaborate on external articulation arrangements, moderation processes, and academic benchmarking.
  • Lead and coordinate scholarly activities and professional development for Higher Education staff.
  • Assist in the annual internal audit of Higher Education operations.
  • Work with the Dean on organizational goals, including marketing, finance, admissions, and alumni relations.
  • Participate in student and staff orientation and graduation ceremonies.
  • Engage in program marketing and course promotion activities.
  • Prepare agendas and reports for various committees.
  • Contribute to the development and renewal of academic policies and procedures.
  • Monitor student progress and satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance reviews of academic staff.
  • Provide insights on academic resource management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications: Doctorate in Counselling or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in managerial and teaching roles at the degree and/or post-graduate level.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing learning with an annual allocation of 20 hours for professional development.
