We are now inviting suitable candidate(s) to join us in the School of Education and Languages for the following post(s): Course Developer (English Listening and Speaking) (Freelance) The developer will be responsible for enhancing teaching materials and assessment items for the following undergraduate course. Course Code Course Title Mode of Delivery ENGL 1202EED University English: Listening and Speaking Distance learning ENGL 1202EED is a 3-credit-unit course. This course aims to enhance undergraduate students’ accuracy and fluency of spoken English in different settings, and to improve their English listening proficiency in various contexts. Upon completion of the above course, students should be able to: Use accurate pronunciation and appropriate features of connected speech for effective English communication; Understand phonetic and discursive features in different situations; Speak about daily, academic and workplace topics with appropriate and coherent development; Summarize arguments, make inferences and identify effectiveness in listening and speaking of different genres; and Present effective oral reports in conversation, discussion and persuasion. Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Reviewing and validating AI-generated questions and answers to ensure technical accuracy, pedagogical integrity, and strict alignment with established assessment rubrics. Refining and updating grading rubrics to ensure they provide clear, measurable criteria and maintain high instructional standards across all course materials. Candidates Candidates are expected to possess the following: A Bachelor’s degree, and preferably a higher degree, in English language or a related discipline; Good command of written English; and Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching and/or materials design at tertiary level.
