Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Writing up the course guide, course materials, supplementary online and/or audio-visuallearning materials; Writing up the activities and assessments to enhance students’ learning experiencethrough the course guide; žContributing to the development of the blueprint of the course; and ž Performing any other duties related to the course development as assigned. Candidates Candidates are expected to possess the following: žA recognized degree in BOTH Law and Economics. ž A double major degree or a major/minor degree in Law and Economics is highly desirable. (JDs and masteral/higher degrees in Law and Economics is a plus). ž A sound foundation and knowledge of microeconomic concepts such as public goods, common resources, externalities, Coase Theorem, Pareto and Kaldor-Hicks efficiency, rational choice theory, theory of consumer choice, and theory of the firm are essential. ž A deep understanding and knowledge of the principles of law in topics such as property rights, contracts, legal processes and tort; as well as familiarity with and application to Hong Kong case law are essential. ž Good writing, organization and communication skills are essential. ž Course development and/or teaching experience at post-secondary and/or tertiary level would be an advantage.
