For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: We are now looking for a suitable candidate for the post of Course Developer for LANG 3331AED Sociolinguistics I and LANG 3332AED Sociolinguistics II. Major Duties and Responsibilities The course developer will be responsible mainly for the following: • Writing course units which align with the intended learning outcomes; • Developing self-tests and activities which support students’ learning; and • Designing assessments which enable students to apply the skills and concepts covered in the courses. Candidates Candidates are expected to possess the following: • A higher degree in Linguistics (with a primary specialisation in Sociolinguistics) or in a closely related field; • An excellent command of English; • Excellent organisation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure; and • Relevant teaching and/or research experience, as well as experience in course design, will be an advantage.
