Description

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction and a minimum of two years’ relevant experience as a lecturer or teacher within the field. You will bring not only technical knowledge but also a clear understanding of how to deliver high-quality teaching that supports learners to achieve and progress.
You should have experience in curriculum review, development and planning, and be confident in applying a range of teaching methodologies to suit different learning needs. A key part of the role involves supporting students to succeed, so you will need the ability to give clear and constructive feedback, as well as an understanding of the pastoral needs of adult learners.
You will be someone who can devise effective strategies to improve attendance, retention, achievement and success rates, and you will use data to inform your decisions and drive improvements. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with good IT skills to support teaching, tracking and reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, stays up to date with industry standards, and wants to make a difference. If you are passionate about construction, confident in your teaching, and ready to lead a curriculum area that is future-focused and responsive to local and national needs, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Below is a list of some of the key skills, qualifications and experience we are seeking for this exciting opportunity.
