Introduces philosophy of education as a distinctive field of educational research and may focus on figures or themes of contemporary interest. Term: Summer 2026 Course Credits: 3.00 Location: TBA Schedule: Thursday-Friday (TF; July 2-3, 2026) - 09:05AM-12:55PM Monday-Thursday (MTWR; July 6-16, 2026) - 09:05AM-12:55PM Teaching Qualification Requirements: Education PhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and master teachers with an MA with extensive relevant experience will be considered). Experience Expert knowledge and experience in course content, including the knowledge of philosophers and philosophies of education from around the world and from non-dominant identities Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP) Familiarity with the 13 professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation Previous successful teaching similar course(s) at the university level Experience teaching in the Quebec school system an asset Other Knowledge of the impact and proven record of integrating pedagogical approaches anchored in equity, diversity and inclusion. Familiarity using myCourses, Zoom, and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences. Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
