ABOUT US

The Faculty of Health Sciences ((FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres. The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).

Responsibilities

ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE WITH ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF THE COURSE WORKING CLOSELY WITH THE COURSE PRIMARY INSTRUCTOR, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: DELIVERING THE COURSE; MARKING EXAMINATIONS; AND ASSESSING THE ACADEMIC WORK OF STUDENTS. THIS ROLE DOES NOT DEVELOP OR PREPARE THE COURSE, NOR WOULD YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTING GRADES.

Candidates must be willing to undertake training as required by the Employer including, but not limited to, training in respect of health and safety, harassment and discrimination, and legislated service standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.
