The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General provides a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan; promotes safe and secure communities; and provides legal and justice policy advice to government.
The Courts and Community Justice Division is seeking a skilled, ethical, confident individual to work at the Saskatoon Provincial Court to provide comprehensive clerical support.

AS A MEMBER OF A TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS, YOU WILL BE IN DAILY CONTACT WITH THE PUBLIC, LAWYERS, POLICE AGENCIES, COMMUNITY AGENCIES AND OFFENDERS AND WILL:

  • Handle walk-in and telephone inquiries regarding court dockets and dispositions, status of accounts, explaining applicable policies and procedures, acts and regulations.
  • Receive payments in accordance with court orders and perform basic accounting duties.
  • Provide guidance to individuals seeking to file claims in the civil division and general applications within the jurisdiction of the Provincial Court.
  • Enter and retrieve data using the Criminal Justice Information Management System (CJIMS).
  • Prepare and format court documents in accordance with court orders and applicable legislation using the CJIMS system or word processing software.
  • Administer and certify court documents to reflect the order of the court.
  • Prepare and forward relevant material when transcripts are requested of recorded court proceedings.
  • Take payment for fines, surcharges, and bail.
  • Be required to climb ladders to retrieve files and carry heavy boxes up to 20 kg that contain files and documents.
  • May be required to travel to and provide support to other court locations.
