Responsibilities
  1. Lead Youth Court Interactions including identifying opportunities to innovate new service delivery models across the Northern Region
    as defined by Department of Corrections.
  2. Lead interactions with prosecutions, Community Youth Justice staff and legal representatives ensuring all parties have relevant,
    considered and up to date information.
  3. Participate in court proceedings and before and after court discussions including liaising with the Department of Education Court
    Officer, Department of Children and Families representatives, Non-Government Organisations, Youth Court Judge and Court registry
    as necessary.
  4. Follow policies and procedures inclusive of maintaining up to date electronic client records on Community Youth Justice online record
    keeping systems.
  5. Develop and collate information packages, pre-sentence reports, assessments, other court reports and reports for the Parole Board in
    accordance with court ordered time frames.
  6. Provide advice, support to the Community Youth Justice team in the bush court circuit.
  7. As a member of the Community Youth Justice Leadership Team, provide leadership and coaching support to staff, attend circuit courts
    as required and provide collegiate support to team leaders and managers.
  8. Participate in the Department’s After-Hours Service.
