Position Summary The objective of this position is to ensure the accuracy of court costs, fines and fees between the courtroom, operations and finance department. Pay Grade: 51S alary Commensurate with Experience and Education   Minimum Qualifications * Five (5) years’ experience in an increasingly responsible administrative capacity, of which three (3) years' experience in a lead or supervisory role; AND * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, criminal justice, education, or closely related field; OR * An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience. * PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND /OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.   Duties and Responsibilities * Works in close communication and collaboration with Courtroom Clerks, Coordinators, Finance and IT to ensure the accuracy of costs, fines and fees. * Removes and updates money from cases to ensure the accuracy of customer payments. * Performs research on historical case balances based on offense and classification to determine costs. * Monitors updates to fee schedules and collection jobs and documents resolution and provide direction related to implementation and ongoing training of business processes. * Serves as a first-line supervisor allocating staffers to test and review JIRAs. * Maintains and keeps statistical data, production logs, and issue tracking. * Serves as liaison between Operations, IT, and Finance. * Reviews and reconciles financial records with courtroom and accounting staff. Monitors and resolves issues with event listings where fees are associated to accuracy. Investigates all internal complaints with respect to cost, fines and fees. * Attends meetings with stakeholders documenting cases and transactions. Assists management with planning, scheduling, coordinating daily activities, and ongoing training/education of business processes to communicate with staff. * Recommends changes in business process and techniques as required by Odyssey, and updates standard operating procedures by managers and IT. * Monitors and evaluates the State of Tennessee and Shelby County compliance. * Performs other related duties as required or directed.   KSA's * Knowledge of administrative functions, policies, and procedures of the clerk's office. * Knowledge of costs, fines, and fees from an internal perspective. * Ability to coordinate and direct the activities of assigned personnel. * Ability to work with co-workers, judges, and public citizens with courtesy and tact. * Ability to issue and follow oral and written instructions. * General knowledge of supervision and personnel management practices. * Knowledge of various legal documents issued by the court. * Ability to write legibly on legal documents and court files. * Ability to maintain an accurate system of records. * Must have good organizational and communication skills.   Disclaimer This position is subject to a background check for any convictions that have a substantial relationship to potential job duties.
