JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in some of our Secondary Schools across South East Northumberland. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular teachers. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage classroom behaviour, support student learning, and ensure that educational objectives are met. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and have experience delivering pre-planned schemes of work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
  • Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to mentor and tutor students, helping them achieve their academic goals.
  • Familiarity with teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is an advantage.
