WHERE AND WHEN DO WE NEED YOU?

To support the exciting expansion of Fair Ways education provision we are looking for a Multi-Site Cover Supervisor to work across all our education sites. At Fair Ways we specialise in both, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties and autism (ASC). Our students will have all been identified as having complex and additional needs and as such are better suited to 1:1 or 2:1 learning and will have an individualised curriculum based on their specific needs. Students are placed with Fair Ways when most other mainstream or specialist schools have been unable to meet their needs. As such, they are likely to have been out of education for a long period of time, having exhausted multiple placements.

When delivering lessons or supporting students at our Schools you will be involved exciting and rewarding things like:

  • Ensuring a high standard of individualised lesson planning, delivery of lessons, marking of work and knowing when and how to differentiate appropriately using approaches which enable students to be taught effectively.
  • Supporting other staff members to deliver lessons and supervise activities both in school and within the community.
  • Understanding the need to safeguard students’ wellbeing in accordance with statutory requirements, including Fair Ways policies and Government legislation.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of, and a willingness to learn, how the young people’s early life experiences and how such experiences may result in, or contribute to, severe behaviour that challenges.
  • Using our industry recognised RiiSE training to deliver trauma informed responses through the individualised use of therapeutic and, where appropriate, physical intervention to ensure students are supported appropriately during times of crisis.
Responsibilities

Support roles within our frontline services help achieve our mission of making a difference through passionate care, support, and education. To support this, you will be required to have, or be working towards a minimum of the following qualification levels:

  • To hold a minimum Level 3 qualification, ideally within education or social care or have a demonstrable amount of relevant experience.
  • Have experience of working and supporting children in a SEN environment or have a good level of transferable skills.
  • To have a good level of English and Maths knowledge
