Cover Supervisor – Outwood Academy Newbold Salary range: Grade 5 SCP 9 -11  £22,126.80 - £22,847.74 Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year  Start date: September 2026 Our academies offer a high quality of education for our students and excellent career progression and training for staff. Cover Supervisors work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom including the supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.  You will cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment. Responsibilities
The Cover Supervisor will implement work programmes and supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. They are also responsible for managing student behavior and supporting classroom activities as directed when cover is not required.
