JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to be a remote Business Manager/Bookkeeper for a large privately owned company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to manage financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
*Must be in Dallas to be considered for this position due to home office/remote position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and journal entries.
  • Familiarity with private equity accounting practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero and PeopleSoft.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.

  • Collaborate on regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to private equity investments.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Xero and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior clerks in daily accounting tasks.
  • Monitor debits and credits to maintain balanced accounts.
