Full time Tax Accountant needed for a fast paced accounting firm. Salary based on experience and education. This position reports directly to the partner. Candidate shall possess a four year degree in accounting with a background in tax, plus be a strong self-starter. All candidates must be able to multitask and be self-motivated.
Accounting Related Responsibilities:
Perform month end functions
Perform bank reconciliations and cash applications
Prepare and enter journal entries
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Other projects as assigned
Tax Related Responsibilities:
Preparation personal tax returns
Preparation of corporate and partnership returns
Respond to IRS & Tax notices
Maintain clear and concise accounting and tax work papers
Review tax information supplied by the client
Work with confidential client matters
Desired Skills & Experience:
Ability to work independently and perform research
Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated strong leadership and problem solving skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Proficiency with QuickBooks is a must, must have full knowledge of both QuickBooks desktop and online.
Excellent Excel skills, as well as a general knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs
Excellent communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently and maintain discipline in order to meet deadlines
Organized and flexible - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlines
Experience with Ultratax or similar tax software
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
