Position Title: CPA
Type: Regular - Full-Time
Location: Downtown East (Carlaw Ave and Dundas St E)
Salary: $80,000.00 – 90,000.00
Experience: 5+Years

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports for individuals and companies. Audit financial reports for compliance and Review Company’s financial status to ensure there are no discrepancies.
Applicant must be comfortable to be working in a small , hands-on, and heavily team oriented environment! All work will be in-person (NO HYBRID/REMOTE WORK)!

SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Post-secondary education
  • CPA, CA designation or CPA, CGA designation
  • At least five years in the audit group of a CPA firm
  • Minimum three years of post CPA, CA or CPA, CGA qualification experience in either public practice or industry
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), Yardi Systems and QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management & financial systems
  • Willingness and an aptitude to learn standard firm software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and managing competing priorities/deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable dealing with clients in person and on the phone
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and audit company financial records
  • Oversee budget and financial management
  • Perform duties related to bookkeeping, preparation of government audits, taxes, and financial planning
  • Recommend fiscally advantageous methods to save money
  • Work with tax returns and analyze financial information to ensure taxes are paid on time.
  • Audit accounts for errors, misinformation, fraud, and overspending.
  • Report financial information to management.
  • Create and analyze budgets.
  • Advise management on tax ramifications of business decisions
  • Act as a consultant in areas such as compensation, benefits, and asset protection.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
  • Forecast revenue and analyze ledgers.
  • Identify and investigate variances.
  • Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
  • Maintain relationships with external accountants, auditors, financers and insurance providers.
