Description

A well-established, family-run home medical equipment provider (operating for over 20 years) is looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing team. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
In this role, you will support patients living with sleep apnea by creating personalized treatment plans, providing education, and monitoring progress to ensure the best outcomes. The position also involves promoting equipment rentals/sales and delivering compassionate care that improves patients’ quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care services, including assessments, fittings, and follow-up for patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.
  • Review patient data and collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate therapy plans.
  • Set up and demonstrate the use of CPAP and other respiratory equipment for clients.
  • Educate and guide patients and their families, ensuring they feel confident in using prescribed equipment.
  • Adjust treatment recommendations based on patient feedback and outcomes.
  • Identify therapy issues or concerns and communicate them with healthcare providers.
  • Assist with funding paperwork and explain available funding programs to clients and families.
  • Support broader store operations by learning additional product lines and services.
  • Provide assistance through YourCPAPStore.ca, responding to online inquiries, processing orders, and making website adjustments when needed.

Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) designation (preferred).
  • Current member of the CRTO (preferred).
  • Valid First Aid and CPR-C certification.
  • Clinical experience with CPAP therapy (preferred).
  • Familiarity with homecare settings and/or sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CPAP devices and sleep therapy equipment.
  • Comfortable with CPAP compliance platforms such as AirView or CareOrchestrator.
  • Experience with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with sleep clinics and patients effectively.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications.

Education

  • Advanced Diploma in Respiratory Therapy.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CPAP clinician or in a respiratory therapy role (preferred).
