Additional Information About the Role BJC Home Care is hiring a certified Polysomnographic Technologist. Highlights of the position: Providing sleep test after care Educating patients on using a CPAP, device cleaning and putting on a mask Providing guidance on billing approvals Location Barnes Jewish West County/Boyle Avenue May need to travel b/t locations upon occasion. Schedule 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. can flex as late as 8:30 to 5 p.m. #LI-TP1 Overview BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs. BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country. The Home Medical Equipment Department of BJC Home Care Services offers quality medical equipment and services that our patients can purchase or rent. We offer equipment delivery and comprehensive training on the use of the equipment. The Home Medical Equipment Department also provides home respiratory equipment, supplies and services for patients who need home oxygen or other respiratory therapies, with staff that include registered therapists and other highly trained professionals. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides services needed for the daily operations including screening, diagnostic and treatment trajectory. Facilitates communication and education with the patients and families. Able to provide therapeutic, diagnostic and assessment related responsibilities. Responsibilities Documents care provided to patients following the plan of care. Calibrates, initiates, and maintains equipment. Provide communication and education to patients, families, and healthcare staff. Performs positive airway pressure (PA) mask fittings. Track interventions and outcomes. BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
