CPG FOOD SENIOR SALES ASSISTANT

Yumi Organics is looking for a Senior Sales Assistant with strong experience in CPG Food Grocery and Food service industry. We are looking for a very well organized and detail-oriented individual who can think a few steps ahead to ensure great support to our in-house sales team. We hope to find an individual who is a problem solver, critical thinker and be able to work well under pressure while juggling multiple tasks and accounts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Be the back-office sales support to our in-house sales team. Fill out all onboarding and listing forms with new clients and distributors.
  • Execute proper onboarding for all new accounts, new products and new projects.
  • Enter information into our ERP system for new accounts and products and ensure all details on customer are correct and up to date.
  • Be the link from sales team to supply chain, R&D and product team to ensure new clients are properly serviced on time.
  • Keep an updated product, pricing list and customer databases.
  • Manage client portals to keep up to date, and pull relevant information for sales.
  • Prepare samples requested by sales team to sent to clients and potential partners.
  • Answer product related questions.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings and preparing sales presentations.
  • Schedule travel and accommodations for sales team to meet clients.
  • Experience with CRM software to help sales team maintain relevant follow ups.
  • Able to do basic market research to support sales in decision making and presentations.
  • Track and manage promo calendars to ensure our promos are executed.
  • Ensure billbacks validated between sales and accounting.
  • Able to create reports to sales team to support in identifying sales by account, promo results and white space reports. Track performance and flag issues to account managers.
  • Be the link between sales and supply chain team to ensure all orders are processed, and support in handling situations of inventory shortages
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure our office is always stocked.
  • Responsible for logistics, organization, samples and flights for B2B tradeshows with marketing team support.
  • General administrative and any other duties and responsibilities assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Very strong comprehensive understanding of CPG food industry (either in grocery, G&C, or food service). Experience in Grocery preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working within the CPG or Retail Food Space (Food, Bev, Alcohol, Cannabis, Grocery, Consumer Goods)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, meet deadlines and be dependable while staying flexible.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to file documents and organize information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple tasks.
  • Experienced and proficient with MS Office, Excel, PPT as well as various online platforms to work with distributors and brokers.
  • Great with numbers and accurate data management.
  • Great memory and strong analytical skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French is a must.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proactive thinker and strong problem solver, self-motivated.
  • Takes initiative and is adaptable; able to chance course quickly and can work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and is also a very strong team player.
  • Demonstrates humility and passion in the work environment.
