The work involves being away from the depot in and around the area, often in a team of two people. The environment requires you to be able to react quickly, decisively and responsibly. You will also need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives. The role is suitable for someone who enjoys the demands of a physical outdoor environment.
You will need to be mobile throughout the area and you may also be required to undertake out of hours standby duties, therefore a full driving licence is desirable.
Some electrical experience would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
Operationally we require you to live within approximately 30 minutes of the depot you are applying for. This can be 30 minutes from either the Exeter or Torquay depot, but please note frequent travel across both locations will be required.
