Description

We are looking to enter the brewery business and are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager with potential equity to oversee operations for our well-funded, larger startup. We own a building with over 24,000 sq. ft. of production space in the heart of St. Albert, and we’re looking to start our own brand.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the brewing industry, leadership and business acumen, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for craft brewing. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage staff, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards while fostering a positive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in commercial brewing, including leadership or head brewer role.
  • Familiarity with brewing processes, beer styles, and the competitive landscape in the craft brewing industry.
  • Formal brewing education or certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with processing techniques and packaging methods.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and production calculations.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage a team.
  • A passion for craft brewing and commitment to producing high-quality products.

    Pay: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

  • Maintain quality control procedures throughout the brewing process, ensuring consistency and excellence in the final product.
  • Build relationships with customers.

  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop new products and promote existing offerings.
  • Monitor production costs and implement strategies for efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory levels, and quality assessments.
