WHAT WE WANT

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Craftsperson to join our National Gas Services (NGS) team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the team by proactively contributing to broader initiatives and workloads that ensure our business objectives are met. This includes assisting NGS Technicians in preparing materials and equipment for transportation to job sites and supporting a range of specialist techniques to deliver safe and efficient outcomes for both internal and external customers.
You will be responsible for maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they are safe, properly tested, calibrated, and compliant with legislative requirements. Additionally, you will be expected to accurately record time worked, additional tasks performed, materials used, and hire charges, ensuring these are returned for recharge purposes.
As part of your role, you will also participate in the NGS Standby Rota, providing pipeline emergency repair services (CEME). Delivering maintenance tasks on schedule and to the highest standards is an essential part of this role, as is ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with National Grid procedures.
