JOB TITLE:                Crane Assembler                                                  Non-Exempt Position              REPORTS TO:          Production Supervisor / Plant Manager   DEPARTMENT:         Assembly    BASIC FUNCTION:    Assemble powered hoist products, including pendant and power supply cable assemblies, and crane system electrical components as specified by customer orders.                     GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   * Process customer orders and production work orders for powered hoist products and crane system electrical components.   * Assemble and test electric and pneumatic chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists, push/geared/motorized trolleys per customer’s specifications.   * Assemble and test crane system electrical components including bridge control boxes, crane wiring, end truck motors and other related assemblies per customer specifications.   * Prepare assembled products for shipment.   * Responsible for producing acceptable work which meets or exceeds Quality Control Standards.   * Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.   * Exhibit interpersonal skills sufficient to perform as an active team member.   * Perform other duties as requested by company management.     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   * Must have high school diploma or acceptable equivalent.   * Vocational education in Electromechanical Technology or similar education or experience preferred.   * Good communication skills.   * Mechanical aptitude.   * Good organizational skills.   * Ability to interpret blueprints. * Ability to safely operate manual and power hand tools.   * Ability to operate a digital multimeter.   * Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.              * Ability to perform hand-soldering (wires into solder-cup terminals)     * 1 – 3 years Electromechanical Assembly experience preferred.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   * Some stooping, squatting and bending.   * Occasional heavy lifting.   * Ability to stand 7+ hours per day.   OTHER REQUIREMENTS:   * Willing to help out in other areas when help is necessary.   * Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.   * Demonstrate a positive and business-like attitude.   * Team Player.   * Ability to work independently.   * Required to wear all OSHA mandated safety equipment and to adhere to all company safety practices and policies.   * Conduct all interactions with customers (internal and external), vendors, field sales representatives, co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous and respectful manner.   * Regular attendance is an essential element of the job.  Unplanned   absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.   NOTE:             This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.  It represents                          typical duties and criteria necessary to successfully fulfill the                          responsibilities of the position.  Other duties may be required at the                          discretion of supervision or management.   All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
