Job Summary: As a Crane Truck Driver/Picker Truck Operator, you will work with our Dispatch team to deliver tanks safely to our residential and commercial customers. Your goal will be to provide a meaningful and essential service to our Avenir Energy customers in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload tanks, adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
  • Work with our dispatch teams to develop routes using your knowledge of geography, and the needs of our customers.
  • Deliver, pick-up and swap tanks for both our residential and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure Electronic and Daily Trips Log are up-to-date and submitted daily
  • Report any potential hazards to dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and government policies and regulations.
  • Maintain Up-to-date understanding of TDG, WHIMIS and required trainings
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions
  • Work schedule will vary - need willingness to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends
  • Other duties as required by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s license with airbrake endorsement/Class 3 License DZ
  • Crane Safe Certificate Level A is an asset
  • Oilfield and/or Propane experience is an asset
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
  • Clean CVOR / personal driving record within Company standards.
  • Able to perform the physical demands of loading and unloading propane.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of propane considered an asset.
  • Ability to work various shifts.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
