QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an apprentice at Rivendell Graphics, you’ll gain hands-on experience and develop key skills in the world of packaging and print production. You’ll be fully supported as you learn the end-to-end process, from order entry to final file delivery, ensuring you build a strong foundation for a successful career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn all aspects of the Rivendell process, from order entry to printing plate production and final file delivery.
  • Create studio briefs and work instructions following standard operating procedures (SOPs) while considering any special client requirements.
  • Accurately apply job costings, ensuring all revenue streams are maximised.
  • Submit and schedule all studio briefs into the production system.
  • Collate and dispatch Epson proofs and any additional items requested by clients.
  • Review artworks (pre-flight) for printability to ensure they meet Rivendell’s Print Specifications.
  • Assist in building and amending artworks following SOPs.
  • Support the creative design team initiating early-stage packaging concepts and designs to agreed timelines
  • Assist the prototyping manager in outputting high quality packaging prototypes across multiple pack formats
  • Learn how to run and maintain prototyping printing and construction equipment
  • Assist in building and amending final repro files, ensuring they are press-ready and meet Print Specifications and range notes.
  • Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, aiming for on-time, in-full (OTIF) completion, and right-first-time (RFT) accuracy.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, delivering outstanding service and upholding a proactive work ethic.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve any potential issues.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and organisational standards within the workspace.
