CREATIVE CONTENT SPECIALIST

Destination Gettysburg is currently seeking an experienced marketer to serve as Creative Content Specialist. This position is full-time and includes an extensive benefit package.
Destination Gettysburg is the official destination marketing organization (DMO) for Gettysburg and Adams County, Pa. Our mission is to promote the region as a premier travel destination, generating positive economic benefits for our community. With beautiful and historic Gettysburg as our inspiration, we work in a fast-paced, creative environment, with the team pulling together to achieve the organization’s goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two-plus years of experience in social media marketing, marketing or journalism is preferred.
• Ability to occasionally work weekends and evening events to capture content.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including a command of grammar usage and vocabulary.
• Must have exemplary time management and organization skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows based computing.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms.

• Manage the strategy and generation of content for all social media platforms.
• Develop campaigns alongside members of the organization’s marketing team to promote Gettysburg and Adams County throughout the year.
• Proactively monitor social media channels. Respond and participate as appropriate.
• Assist with the collection and management of multi-media resources including photos and videos.
• Keep a pulse on industry trends as it pertains to social media and modify strategy as needed.
• Monitor and report weekly on metrics and analytics related to social media performance.
• Create and implement advertising campaigns on different social media platforms.
• Maintain a working content schedule for postings – for both short- and long-term.
• Write blog content for Destination Gettysburg website.
• Create and produce video content for the organization’s various platforms.
• Assist in the production of the Destination Gettysburg Podcast.
• Other duties as assigned.
