JOB SUMMARY:

This at-will position is being hired to support a specific client project. While this role is a full-time position with Falcon’s Creative Group, employment will not extend beyond the duration of the project. The assignment will conclude once the project is completed, at which time employment with Falcon’s Creative Group will end. The expected project timeline is to be determined. For avoidance of doubt, employment with Falcon’s would be at-will at all times, meaning that the employee or Falcon’s may terminate the employment at any time (including prior to the conclusion of the project).
As a creative director, you are responsible for determining the best ways to visually represent our global and diverse themed entertainment projects. This position is critical to the accurate interpretation, and ultimate realization, of our creative vision. The creative director is the guardian of the overall vision for the project, and the master of each detail that makes an award-winning entertainment experience.
This people-oriented job involves the development of high-level, simply masterful concepts for entertainment projects. You’ll oversee the detailed articulation of those concepts through each stage, managing the efforts of a complete compliment of designers. This position is responsible for sculpting and communicating the “wow factors” of a project while managing the quality and efficiency of the design team. The creative director interfaces frequently with internal and external teams. They must communicate design solutions and be able to extract client needs and apply them in unique and imaginative ways.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a degree in architecture, fine arts, or equivalent visual design and management experience; graduate degree preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of themed entertainment experience working with large-scale destination resort or theme park projects.
  • Experience designing for museums, theme parks, and other guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of layouts and graphic fundamentals.
  • Ability to develop innovative design solutions and translate those ideas to key stakeholders.
  • A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, and the creative process.
  • Ability to be a creative lead on projects.
  • Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to make evaluative judgments.
  • Effective and persuasive communicator.
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Utilize logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to devise unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
  • Must be able to handle multiple interruptions throughout the day.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive roadmap and outline specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple project deliverables simultaneously.

  • Determine the pacing and pulse of the overall experience, including guest flow, ride timing, media integration, and various other considerations of each project.
  • Communicate frequently with project leads regarding progress made.
