This position will support company and client communication efforts to achieve emergency management response goals. The communications manager for the project will be responsible for developing and overseeing strategy for content and will direct creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message. This position is critical in maintaining currency of and compliance with applicable state and federal policies and procedures relating to the public. Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions: Brand Stewardship: Define and maintain ACDC’s brand standards across all platforms and materials. Brand Visibility: Directs marketing campaigns across digital and print channels, increasing client visibility and brand equity. Design & Communication Leadership: Oversees the design and delivery of graphics, layouts, and multimedia that elevate proposals, presentations, and technical reports; ensures that complex ideas are conveyed in compelling and usable formats. Client Deliverables: Leads the creative development of planning documents, public-facing reports, stakeholder communication, and PIO products to ensure clarity, compliance, and accessibility. Collaboration: Partners closely with division leads, marketing, communications, and proposal teams to deliver high-quality, consistent products. Conference Management: Oversees and coordinates conference administration, logistics, and public speaking opportunities. Innovation: Introduces new creative strategies, tools, and formats that enhance how ACDC communicates internally and externally. Communications: Leads marketing campaigns from creation through deployment. Marketing Prowess: Idea generation, content design and execution as well as general marketing oversight and material development. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced Adobe Suite abilities Tender document compilation (InDesign) Advanced Social Media management (content creation, advertising, reporting) Advanced content creation abilities (social media, presentations, webinars, videos, email series, white papers, blogs, case studies, etc.) Ability to shift seamlessly between leader, collaborator, and doer roles is a must. Leadership and team management skills Working knowledge of advanced project management principles and ability to manage complex large scale projects. Effective communication and public speaking abilities. Strong problem solving and time management. Ability to think strategically and build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and clients. High level of attention to detail driven by a relentless passion to produce excellent work. Supervisory Responsibilities: This role will have direct supervisory responsibilities as outlined in the company organization chart. Expected Hours of Work: Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel is expected for this position. Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time. Physical Demands: Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed. Working Environment: All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire. Experience/Education Required: 10+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, and brand management. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related degree. Years of experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis, in addition to the minimum requirements. 10+ years experience leading initiatives in marketing, graphic design, and creative arts. 10+ years experience creating and executing end-to-end campaigns including both digital and traditional channels. 10+ years experience handling and maintaining confidential information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher & Power Point) & Adobe. Experience/Education Preferred: Website content & maintenance (Craft CMS); basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS Additional Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older.
