Salary / Pay Rate: $15.30/hour to $25.75/hour, based on experience Creative Kids Camp- Teacher (Seasonal) Camp Format: * Creative Kids Camp is an arts-based summer day camp at the historic Greenbelt Community Center, a New Deal landmark. Campers ages 6-12 rotate through classes in visual art, music, dance and drama, as well as outdoor recess play and indoor quiet time. At the end of every two-week session, the camp presents two musical theater performances in the Community Center auditorium. Job Requirements: * During the Marvelous Mix, teachers teach up to six 45-minute classes in their specialty each day, tailoring each class to a different age group. Classes meet between 9:00 am and 3:15 pm, with a lunch break at mid-day. Class size is capped at 14 campers. Each class is accompanied by at least one college-age counselor and one high-school intern, who assist the teacher by facilitating camper participation. The final day of each camp session will be largely consumed by presenting two performances the camp show for parent visitation day. * We seek cheerful, kind, energetic, responsible teachers who enjoy working with children and either have teaching experience in the arts or are currently training to be teachers. Compensation: * Starting pay for teachers is $15.30/hour to $25.75/hour based on experience. Camp Session Dates: Camp Session Dates: Session One: June 15– June 26 (no camp June 19) Session Two: June 29 – July 10 (no camp July 4) Session Three: July 13 – July 24 Session Four: July 27 – August 7
