Description

Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
  • 7+ years of graphic design experience with 3+ years within a creative leadership role.
  • Experience in working within an in-house environment is essential, with agency experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
  • Confident client interfacing and excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Skilled in analytical and creative problem-solving, handling multiple projects, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Suite, and other relevant design and project management tools.
  • Highly developed team leadership and interpersonal skills are required, with a proven ability to build and manage professional relationships.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Creative Lead to join our dynamic Integrated Marketing team.
The Integrated Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive, integrated marketing strategies aimed at building Canadian Blood Services’ brand, expanding our donor base, and enhancing donor loyalty.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Brand & Creative, you will be responsible for overseeing the creative direction of all design and content. You will lead a team of graphic designers and writers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the Canadian Blood Services brand identity is consistently represented across all channels. You will also be instrumental in developing systems and processes to optimize team performance and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a skilled graphic designer, with a strong understanding of brand management and a proven ability to inspire and lead a creative team.
