Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is establishing a new casual pool of Creative & Production Professionals to support the in‑house Creative team as project demand fluctuates throughout the year. The pool provides additional capacity and specialist skills while maintaining consistent creative standards, structured processes, and a stable production environment. Engagements are casual (employee status) and project‑based, with varying scope and complexity. Key responsibilities (dependent on discipline): Deliver photography, videography, and related production outputs. Complete editing, colour grading, and post‑production tasks. Create motion graphics, animation, and visual design assets. Develop graphic design, copywriting, and other creative content. Provide art direction, creative input, and project or production support. Produce, compose, or edit audio as required. Retouch and edit photographs. Support on set production across camera, lighting, sound, and general crew roles. Ō pūmanawa - About you You are a motivated, craft‑driven professional with a collaborative mindset who takes pride in delivering work that is fit for purpose. This pool is for individual practitioners, not companies or studios. Key requirements: Demonstrated experience in one or more relevant disciplines (e.g., photography, videography, editing, motion design, graphic design, copywriting, producing, sound, retouching, production support). A portfolio or links that show strong craft and consistent standards. Professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication with the ability to adjust to different audiences and stakeholders. Ability to follow brand guidelines and work within structured processes and systems. Strong organisation and time management; comfortable working to deadlines and schedules.
